Peyton in Episode 4

Any up-to-date information on how Peyton's heart transplant is taking? The most recent info the show stated was two weeks after the surgery. Should he be out-of-the-woods as far as complications go by that point? I hope him and his parents are doing well. Their story really pulled at my heart strings, because Peyton reminds me so much of my son (who is almost two and has already had his own difficulties in his life as a preemie). My son was born 2 and half months early. So, thank you Peyton for sharing your story and reminding all parents what little miracles their children really are.

Ok, I too was shocked that a DR would say that! I thought they took an oath of to do their best to SAVE lives rather than just say...well, just let him die!

I was disgusted at the comment that the doctor made on letting this angel of a child die. To me it runs deeper than whether he has children - it is whether he has a heart. Yes I hope the parents never see the scene of Peyton having cardiac arrest and also hope they never see the scene of the doctor making such a cold and irresponsible comments (remember he was told by other doctors that they still had not even seen the results of the biopsy). Was he not aware that a heart transplant would allow him to live? Was he not willing to give him ANY chances? This doctor should not be allowed to practice medicine.
More importantly Peyton walked out of the hospital with a new heart. I could not stop crying....I would love to know how he is doing.
Go Peyton!!!

I completely agree. Does this doctor not have kids? If not, he shouldn't be specializing in an area that deals with life or death decisions about them. If he does have kids, how would he like it if their doctor thought so little of letting them just die?

The part of the episode that was hardest for me to watch was when Peyton went into cardiac arrest. You could just see the life drain out of him. For that reason alone, I hope his parents never watch the episode. He isn't even my child, but I have not been able to get that moment out of mind ever since.

He is SO cute! I'd love to know how he's doing now. It nearly killed me when that physician said he thought they should just let the child die......I thought that was kinda harsh!
