How can I plan a wedding when the loved ones I loved most in my life are not here to celebrate with me. I've bought my dress with all the extras and I've reserved the building and gottend my flower girl baskets but thats it. I'm uninspired to continue doing wedding plans because I'm unable to find joy in the planning... To me its been a burnden so far, money is very tight, and still so many things to still purchase..i dont have my mom she died too soon in her life as well as my grandparents...they always made things possible for me..now im left alone to do everything and Im to prideful to ask for money help...I just want to call everything off , but that will hurt my fiances feelings..he wants the wedding , but we have no wedding rings no decorations..he doesnt even have his attire picked out yet...im lost with no direction..do you have any advice...
If you feel your fiancé will be hurt, maybe you should talk to him about how you feel and get him involved? Do you both have a common interest or theme?
Weddings don't have to be large, expensive affairs. It is about you and your husband to be. Your beginning as a family. It is meant to be a celebration and is a good time to welcome your extended family into your life. It is a step towards the rest of your life together. You should not be shy about asking for help. The worst anyone can do is say no. If they say"no", go to plan B. Maybe they will say yes and things will be even better. You have several important details done. Gather friends (and family you do have) and make this a fun and joyful event. Likely your mom and grandparents will be attendance.
As a last thought, if you feel like you want to call everything off, I would examine that carefully. You are not doing your fiancé any favors marrying him when you are not ready to marry.
