While these babies are going to, no doubt, lead a charmed infancy... there needs to be some very important information for each new and/or expectant mom.
Please don't put bumpers in the baby's crib. They pose a re-breathing issue if a baby is predisposed to SIDS. That includes stuffed animals, loose blankets, etc. First Candle recommends for baby to be in wearable blankets so they can't move the blanket and occlude their breathing.
For expectant moms: you should most definitely start counting your baby's fetal movements (swishes, kicks, etc.) at the same time everyday. Slow fetal movement at the end of a pregnancy is not necessarily an inkling that the baby is getting too big and is just ready to come home!
Please visit http://www.firstcandle.org/kickscount/index.html for a full kick counting chart so you can make sure that you bring that sweet baby home and safe.
And once little one arrives, please take a look at the following safe sleeping tips. They are VITAL. http://firstcandle.org/new_exp_parents/new_exp_safesleeptips.html
Please get in touch with anyone at First Candle should you have any questions about how to keep your baby safe and healthy! And Congratulations!!!

I think a lot of the people making the horrible comments about the parents on the show using nannies to how could they spend this money at an economic time like this just need to stop. I don't know any of these parents on this show and I only make $30,000 a year but I'm happy to see others enjoy themselves and be able to sare their happiness with family and friends. I think a lot of you haters are missing the point. Would I spend this much money on my babyshower if I had the money? Probably not but that doesn't mean I'm better or less than them. Seriously, get over yourselves and stop being so jealous.

I was excited about Platinum Babies. I thought it was going to focused on the baby and the crazy elaborate things they get to wear and things they get to do. But alas, I was wrong. It's about the (seemingly ungrateful) mom and dad and how much money they have, and all the gifts they get and elaborate showers/parties they throw, etc. The name of the show should be Platinum Pregnancy. That would be more realistic.

I think peter has one of the most chisseled jaw lines i have ever come across in my days on earth. I think this man, this god of a man, should be commended for all his work in and amongst the platinum community, and lame people like newcraig2010 (find on twitter) should bow down and kiss his feet and worship at the alter of his platinum babies. I also hear that he keeps a house boy in his pool house, and said house boy will do anything that platinum peter says for him to do.... now that is platinum to the P!

Listen you hater punk, just because you aren't platinum and you don't have the means to pimp out your nursery doesn't give you the right to slander people who are more platinum than you are and to try and steal their spotlight.... It just so happens that for every 40k peter kravitz spends on his nursery, he drops 80k on darfur type shizz because he's a giver and has a full tribal tat on his back. So you need to go sit in the spiteful haters section and leave the platinuming to pkrav and his platinum retrievers. and also, if you are "struggling trying to provide the best you can" then you should have slapped a rubber on your man's peen or used a better diaphragm and not had kids! You're just like all the other non-platinum wastrels out there, bangin without protection, popping out irresponsible chilrens and not having the means to provide them with the gold plated strollers and silken bibs that they deserve. You are a pathetic human being and a crappy american, and it is your fault that babies are dying everywhere everyday. Pkrav is an inspiration to the rest of us, and you need to bow down and respect him as such.

This show the worst show I have every seen. Is it any wonder most kids are raised as spoiled brats with no values and no regard for anyone else but themselves. In this horrible economic times, do we really need a show that conveys the message that you are a good parent and inorder for your baby to thrive that you need to spend $40,000 on a nursery and spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on clothes, equipment, etc. These people are not real, why isn't there a show that would apply to 99% of the new parents. Those of us struggling, trying to provide the best we can and be happy about. We don't need to see a show about people with no regard for money so we can feel bad about ourselves. Seriously, what is the benefit of a horrible show like this.

I'm so so soooooo excited for the Peter and Jenna episode from the previews. The black and white photo shoot of them on the beach is to die for! I mean just look at that tattoo on Peter's back! Also, $40,000 in nursery costs is sooooo crazy, I wonder what they come up with!

I think Pete Kravitz is probably the sexiest of all the platinum baby parents, hands down, does anyone want to challenge that claim?

I might consider buying a really nice dress for her Christmas picture or her christening, and I would of course make sure that all the equipment was safe & comfortable. I shudder to think that I took my babies around in an umbrella stroller, when there are so many nicer ones around. But Gucci shoes? No way. I bought most of my baby things in mid-level department stores like Macy's or J.C. Penney. Now I might go to Kohl's.
