I love being a mom because my kids are very entertaining. Even when my five-year-old, Sabrina, says things like, “Mommy! Let me watch TV or I’ll call the police!” it is hard not to be amused. It’s made me a better person. I have a seven-year-old, Max, with special needs due to a stroke at birth. Max has made me a more patient person and a more resourceful one, too. I have come up with so many creative ways to help him—and many brilliant ways to get the insurance company to pay for his therapies! It is satisfying in a way nothing else has been. I’ve had a successful career. I have a great marriage. But nothing does me proud like teaching my kids new things. Seeing Max learn how to ride a bike this past summer put me on a total high. The cuteness! OMG, the CUTENESS!!! — Ellen Seidman, To The Max
