I love being a mom because the journey is different for each child, so even though every mom has a common bond, we travel a unique path. While most days may mimic chaotic scenes from a bad reality television show, there are meaningful moments of discovery – whether I’m discovering new things about my children or new things about myself. Children make you slow down in simple ways like turning off your BlackBerry and letting your laptop snooze, because you quickly learn even the most ordinary day as a mother is ridiculously special. Even the most bloggy mom blogger knows when it’s time to trade in a funny post for big hugs and giggles. — Cathy Hale, mommyq.com
