I love being a mom because I get to watch someone I helped create become their own person. From being completely dependent on her father and me to being “miss independent,” childhood isn’t just about pushing toy trucks and scribbling with crayons. Sit quietly, and you can watch their minds work as they first debate a concept, then grasp it, and just as quickly develop their own sense of how it makes them feel.
