Here’s Evelyn’s Mother’s Day poem:

The Love of GOD has clothed the earth with Mothers. We are the light of his glory, it is such a heavenly beauty that is incredible. He has given us the Love for both home and family and the desire of a nurturing spirit. It’s a gift of Loving, Caring, and Influencing strength for our children. Being a Mother is an extension of GOD’s Love as demonstrated here often. He has given us the responsibilities to Love, Teach, and Raise our children, to have compassion although, at times, they encounter temptation and many influences that will lead them down the wrong path. Being a Mother has never been an easy job. It can be one of the most difficult jobs that one can face in life. Never the less, it holds a light that shines so that our children may be able to see a brighter path, to know that they are loved regardless of any situation. Mothers, there is no perfect Mother, it’s on the job training that we learn. We learn through trial and error, but often times just as GOD wants to place his arms around us-as with the hen that gathers her chick under her wings but you won’t let me and sometimes our children won’t allow us. So do your very best and tell your children how much you Love them on a daily basis. This is the greatest gift that you can give them.
