| Kim's being a rebel yet again and Ellin's at a breaking point. Thanks to all the tension at the salon, Ellin's Crohn's Disease is acting up, and she can hardly go on. Ellin's therapist and friend Dr. Cunningham comes in for a haircut, and observing her stress, recommends that since her workplace is a place of high anxiety, Ellin focus on bringing tranquility and peace into her home. Ellin agrees to meet with an interior designer who'll transform her apartment into an oasis. Fearful that the redesign process will add even more stress, Ellin flashes back to last year's salon renovation disaster. A meeting with Reiko - an interior designer who's also a Feng Shui specialist, leaves Ellin skeptical, but she decides to let Reiko run with the project. As Ellin gets busy at work, she leaves Kim to go shopping with Reiko. Naturally Kim hates everything Reiko suggests, and Ellin worries that this redesign was a very bad idea. Susan Taylor, a dear friend of Ellin's, and the head of Essence Magazine, comes in for a do and advises Ellin to continue on this redesign path for her sanity. As the renovations come to an end, Ellin realizes that the pain of construction was worth the outcome of tranquility. Jeff, Kim, and even Dr. Cunningham are all there for the final reveal of the new living room. Will Ellin find the peaceful refuge she so desperately needs? | |
