| Ellin's stressful day starts with her very "diva" client Juicy arriving for a weave. Juicy makes high maintenance look like an understatement: she's bossy and demanding and makes the staff incredibly tense. Juicy hates the quality of hair on her weave and threatens Ellin to have to redo the whole thing. She finally leaves satisfied after hours and hours of tears, complaints, and attitude. Then, Ellin meets up with a new client, Lana, a Hurricane Katrina survivor, and agrees to host a make-over for a group of four Katrina survivors who have relocated from Mississippi to New York City. Ellin even volunteers her salon and the services of her stylists for the makeover party (which goes over well until Ellin abruptly tells the stylists to come in on their day off). The four hurricane survivors unite at the salon and tell their heart-warming tales, but the stylists aren?t moved for long. Chioma is happy to help, until she gets a call from her husband who's angry that she's not home. Then, one of the survivors shows up extremely late (with her two rowdy sons) causing the make-over session to run late into the night. But in the end, the women love their new looks, and everyone feels good about helping out these women in need. | |
