Entitled "Holidays," this John Edward Cross Country episode has a touching theme running through it; Families, including John’s, must make incredible leaps of faith in order to celebrate holidays after their loved one has passed.

Unfortunately, the psychic readings in the New York studio relate to one another because families seated in one section of the audience have all lost children. First, after physically repositioning the families, John gets messages from a son of a police officer, Jeff, and his wife, Frances. Their son Daniel on other side is trying to lift away Dad’s deep burden of guilt. John’s follow-up visit to their home in Saugus, Massachusetts compels him to share his private home movies of holidays of years gone by.

Another son, David, comes through to John – and the messages are for his mom Pam. David tells John about a hidden locket, and a lot more. The show’s follows-up visit to Pam’s home in Pennsylvania reveals that David’s surviving mom and stoic Grandparents haven’t been able to celebrate Christmas either. John’s reading will have Pam and her parents ready to "move on" and celebrate next year.

Later in the show, John Edward Cross Country orchestrates a 'surprise phone reading' to winners of a WE tv contest in Phoenix. There, Stephanie and her mother Carol have a John Edward wish fulfilled… hearing both of their names called out from the other side.
