John Edward Cross Country

Remember the Good Times

Remember the Good Times

Thanks for checking in. Giving you a behind the scenes look of the John Edward Cross Country production is a little redundant. Because there isn’t much that is shot, that doesn’t land up in the show—and not because the directing is that good ;). As best as possible, our production is about spiritual journeys, John’s, the people he reads, and the process of what happens while making this show. I gratefully acknowledge that I have a privileged perspective, so here are some more reflections.

As cosmic as our show might seem, let’s talk superficially for a moment; I’m talking about John’s wardrobe. Or am I?

JECC studio readings are shot over a course of two weeks in a NYC studio (continually check this site, seats are offered through a WEtv.com lottery). The follow-up production takes another 33 weeks. During the course of the five-plus camera studio production, John will read anywhere between 40 and 50 different families. These readings trigger stories that send John and crews all over the nation seeking further understanding of the spiritual connection.

After all the material is logged and sorted by our PA’s Kieran and Mike… our wonderful show producers Leslie, Cali, and Lauren try to put all the pieces of the puzzles together to tell the stories accurately, as well as inspirationally.

As each episode begins, you see John enter the studio and give a short talk about the process, possibly a life lesson, or even a funny anecdote. But did you ever notice, I mean really notice what he’s wearing? Well I do, (and not just because I’ll inherit the hand me downs in a few seasons either. (Thanks Sonya for the fine threads :). Please understand, during the course of the production, John will make that entrance only 18 times. The outfit he is wearing will also be the outfit he has on during the first reading. The show will cascade in the metaphysical direction it is meant to take, from that opening moment on. Very often the opening moment is a microcosm of the entire hour. Why that outfit? Why that reading? Why do you choose to watch our show???

We’re just glad that you do. How many different outfits does John wear on this episode "Remember the Good Times"? Please watch and get back to the network on that...

Thank you to all the wonderful people we met along the way of making this and every episode of John Edward Cross Country. If you want more then me just rambling on, please check the synopsis on this site for show overviews.

Stay tuned,

Paul
