Thanks for taking the time to further explore the world of John Edward Cross Country. On this episode, a mom named Gail states that her late daughter Anjuli is still shining a light on everyone she knew. So, our co-executive producer Nina wanted to name the show after that poignant moment in the studio. Nina later took a camera crew to the family’s home in Massachusetts to meet Anjuli’s father Jeremy, and to hear his acceptance of the psychic messages is to experience the light yourself. When both of these heartbroken parents talk about their daughter, or show home video, you can literally feel Anjuli all around. This segment personifies John’s belief in one’s energy lives on. The way JECC tells these stories has organically evolved. When we started producing John’s work on television, the program was 95% reading. Now we are combining the follow-up story in most segments as an equal portion. It’s not like John and I have even talked about this, it just happened. To further understand the messages and to see how all of these people get on with life after the reading seemed the right way to go. When you have a studio show or talk show, it is very uncommon and expensive to take crews out of the studio. But WE tv was in total agreement with us, which is the best way to understand John’s work. On a previous incarnation of the show, we felt pressured to prove that John has a gift….over and over. Now, I think people don’t question it. But what everyone wants to know is what the benefit of having the reading is. I hope these follow-ups bring that home to you in a positive way. We have a team of producers that have surpassed my expectations. We always knew that we wanted to focus on the spiritual lesson of these stories, and not on people’s loss. But what I’ve additionally learned is how generous these families are in sharing the stories. Going into people’s homes who have suffered tragedy and grief could be really uncomfortable. But that doesn’t happen. Despite a crew of four or five strangers dragging video and audio equipment through all kinds of personal spaces, everyone who we have met on this journey has been remarkably gracious and open to teach us a spiritual lesson. I have to thank all the families we have met for shining the light. They must know we would have loved to meet them on better circumstances, but that was not to be. We met them on these circumstances. John has connected the spirit world for them, and JECC is committed to tell their story, honestly and respectfully. You play just as big of part by being there and supporting them. Best, Paul |
