Hi. The eighth show of season 3...what can I say? Plenty (but I’ll keep it short). John Edward Cross Country has achieved many milestones this season. This show called "Energy Abounds" sets a marker. As you know, our WE tv show portrays John and his psychic work accurately while trying not to sensationalize anyone’s loss. Rather, the concept is to promote awareness. We all have opportunities to continue relationships with people that have transitioned to the other side. By watching the wonderful people who John reads get to that place, confirms our own opportunities to connect with loved ones, (and sometimes misunderstood ones). Showing more stories doesn’t just add on to what we already know...it takes us deeper. Sidebar: Occasionally I am asked to speak to college students pursuing television careers. This alone is a curious request, I rarely recommend the profession. It only works if you have no other choice. Inevitably one aspiring TV maker will ask how to get ahead. They will state, "It’s who you know, right?" Without hesitation I automatically answer, "Not anymore, it’s who you know, and who else you know—then you have to connect the dots." John’s work is much the same. The obvious connection is one thing and most will see it. But reaching further into the well, for the less apparent but just as pivotal connection is what will propel you. John Edward Cross Country is a TV show, not a metaphysical experiment, or at least not a sanctioned one anyway. But time after time, I appreciate the sense of connectivity we all have with lives both here and beyond. Yeah, I drank the Kool-Aid years ago, so what? Watching this show for no other reason than seeing the metamorphosis of those read, is what it’s all about. Having faith is knowing that the energy abounds, and others like you have come to make it part of everyday missions. In the first story John connects with "a father figure" spirit coming through. He has chewing gum buried with him. Sure enough his adopted daughter Alicia in the studio audience validates everything John is getting. The reading is phenomenal. And, when John goes to visit Alicia and her family, the deceased father reaches out again. But here is where the energy really abounds! On the way to the home-visit, John had stopped by his son’s tennis camp, where he just watched from his car. This was totally not on John’s very Libra day planner. Believe me, John’s appreciation for the game is nilch. But he told me that he was locked in this moment not knowing why. Cut to Alicia’s home visit two hours later…the father comes through again. Unbelievably, his messages unveil that he was an avid tennis player. He met Alicia’s mom playing tennis. They had a life together filled with tennis events, tournaments, etc. and there is a big "tie breaker sudden death playoff" metaphoric moment at the end of this segment that I won’t give away. But here’s a hint, listen to John get a Snoopy reference! I never thought I would be writing about John and tennis in the same paragraph. But to me, it’s not about tennis or just another story of loss. Here is one more example of the energy living on and on. You just have to be aware. To make things freakier, John being delayed a little by watching his son play tennis, worked out. A first-time camera guy showed up to the home-visit shoot...without the High-Definition Camera!!!! But by the time John showed up, back-up gear was well in place. Hooray for tennis camp. Hooray for you and the energy you use to spend watching the show. Please stay tuned, Paul |
