Little Miss Perfect Tuesdays at 10pm|9c

Michael Galanes, Pageant Director

Michael Galanes, Pageant Director
Once upon a time, there was a little boy born and raised in the mountains of Vermont, but he knew his calling was the sparkly stage, somewhere, somehow. Every morning, he would put on a different record of his favorite musical in his kitchen and perform the entire show, he knew every word to every song... and that performance, Ladies and Gentlemen, proved to be the highlight of his day!

Graduating from Providence College, he moved to Orlando to perform at Walt Disney World! It was the perfect job for Galanes, as he had the opportunity to work with princesses every day, a precursor of his life to come!

In 1997, Michael founded Little Miss Citrus, a National Children's Beauty Pageant. The event is still very active and popular today. He also interviewed with NBC/Donald Trump Productions and was hired, position: State Director for Miss Vermont USA/Teen USA. Michael also still serves as the State Director for Illinois American Coed Pageant as well as Mrs. Florida International. He has coached literally hundreds to pageant fame. Michael has served as a national spokesperson for many companies to include Toyota, Proctor and Gamble and is an active commercial print and television actor. One of his most prized memories was traveling to Greece (his father was Greek) for an entire season to model abroad with Pro Model Management.

In 2009, Michael worked with P. Diddy, Danity Kane, and day 26 in MTV's Making the Band 4. Mr. Galanes lived in the Miami mansion and served as the Den Mother for the two musical groups (he equates his role on the show to that of Alice on the Brady Bunch).

And now... the fairest of the fair...Little Miss Perfect!

"I have lived my entire life in preparation for such an opportunity! This is my chance to showcase to America a fair and honest/unbiased documentary on children's pageants, the parents' involvement, and the lives before, during and after these events! What I hope America will take from the show is that these sort of children's pageants are teaching little girls how to experience the thrill of competition, to win and not win in a gracious fashion, to work hard toward your dreams, make friends along the way, develop self confidence, become more comfortable in speaking with others, AND ALWAYS ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE. After all, isn't life what you make it?"

With nearly 20 years under his tiara, Galanes is excited to showcase Little Miss Perfect; Season 2!

"Let's just say there are divas galore."

  • The contests help boost confidence and self-esteem.
  • I think they are exploitative.
