The Tutera Touch

David Tutera has won the hearts of celebrities and brides across the nation for a reason. From the venue to the décor details, he goes above and beyond to bring any wedding vision to life. In a recent blog post he writes, “You know how I feel about my brides … I want to give them the sun, the moon, and stars on their wedding day. I want to take their theme and put the “Tutera Touch” on it, making it even more glamorous and incredible than they could ever dream of!” Check out the Tutera Touches that made My Fair Wedding couples’ big day better than their wildest dreams.

Motown Magic
Sashani and Jason’s Motown themed destination wedding in California was a celebration of music and love. Thanks to Tutera, every last detail reflected the spirit and style of Motown’s stars and chart-topping tunes. Authentic Motown records surrounded the cake, and were even printed with the bride and groom’s own custom-made Motown logo. From mirrored tables to a mirrored platinum dance floor, David creatively incorporated Michael Jackson’s sequined glove into the wedding décor. According to Sashani, “What is great about David is he listens to your heart. He kept it elegant and in his own words made it BIGGER.”

A Safari Wedding
For a couple that met at the San Diego zoo, David was tasked with making an animal-inspired theme work. According to Tutera, “There was no way we were having an African/Tropical/Zebra Print/Orange/Neon Green wedding. Four of those five options had to either disappear altogether or blend into a streamlined theme itself.” To reign in the over-the-top zebra decor but still give the bride her dream wedding, David created an “International Passport” wedding. From the printed materials (the ceremony program was a boarding pass and the menus resembled a passport) to the venue (an on-site after party in a chic zebra-print “lounge”), a theme that could have gone wild was tastefully woven into every element of the wedding. Springtime in Paris
Gorgeous artwork printed on the dance floor, centerpieces abundant with soft colored flowers, an event space that felt like the streets of Paris, and a nine foot tall Eiffel tower cake were just a few “Tutera Touches” David brought to life for bride Kristina. Better Than a BBQ
When it comes to wedding planning, David is full of spectacular surprises. But one of his best qualities is his ability to really connect with a bride, especially under tough circumstances. Danica lost her mother to breast cancer six years ago and she was feeling a lot of sadness associated with wedding planning. Luckily, that all changed–thanks to Tutera. Danica explains, “Meeting David changed the sadness that I had in my planning process. Not only did he come in to our lives and create a dream come true for us, but he is so genuine and thoughtful and helped make me become the bride that was hiding deep down and I didn’t think that existed!”

Not so “Shabby” Chic
For brides that want to incorporate vintage flair into an outdoor wedding, David has tons of Tutera Touches that will step up the décor. First start by choosing romantic buds like peonies, roses, dahlias, ranunculus, Queen Anne’s Lace, and hydrangeas. Then, think outside of the vase. Fill teapots, birdcages, even vintage suitcases with flowers. Cover tables with pastel tablecloths and lace overlays. Mix wood and wrought iron chairs to create an eclectic feel. Hang white chandeliers from the trees and mix in twinkle lights for the ultimate whimsical wedding touch. Watch this Tutera Tips video for more great reception advice from David:
