• Everyone’s heard the saying "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." Incorporating special or old customs into your wedding can be a great way to pay tribute to your heritage, and it’s incredibly meaningful to your parents, grandparents and older relatives. Think about picking a few customs or family traditions to include in the ceremony or reception that best reflect you and your wedding. Years from now, your kids may do the same thing. • Take the time during your reception to make sure the "older" guests are accommodated and are comfortable in their surroundings. • Obviously you want to look best on your wedding day, so it’s a great idea to have a test run before hand...and not just your dress but your hair, makeup, jewelry...the works. Go to a salon and have your hair and makeup done exactly the way you want it. And make sure to take a few pictures so you’ll know how to duplicate the look on your big day. • If you don’t like what the first salon has styled for you, you owe it to yourself to visit a few salons and then decide who has taken into consideration all that you want for your special night. |
