My Fair Wedding with David Tutera Sundays at 10pm|9c

We met at a bar in West Islip, NY, called Mustang Sally’s on December 28, 2005. By June 2006 we were living together, and the day before Valentine’s Day 2007 we were engaged. Things never really went wrong during our planning. We simply needed help with our vision. David took our vision of a simple Irish-themed wedding and created St. Patrick’s Day on August 8, 2008! David helped with our floral and room design. His cake designer gave us our dream cake…green with pink flowers and NO FONDANT!!! It was amazing! The only thing I, the bride, did not like was my hair on my wedding day. I hated it, hated it, hated it!!! David had chosen my least favorite style for me, so I had no other choice but to go along and graciously thank the hair dresser with a smile on my face. David’s design of our ceremony tent was amazing. It was wonderful, even though there was no air conditioning and the ceremony started nearly 35 minutes late. We were very thankful that he followed a wish of ours and brought the cocktail hour inside…where we originally wanted it to be. We had a few elderly guests and the maid of honor was recently released from the hospital with a blood clot in her leg, it would not have been fair to expect our guests to spend an hour in the sweltering heat with an extremely long walk to use the facilities. The most important thing about our wedding day was us getting married and sharing our love with our very special family and friends. Having David Tutera there to upgrade flowers, cakes, photographers and attendant’s gifts was great and an amazing experience. But by no means would the wedding have been in shambles or tacky if he was not there. Everyone was there to celebrate our love and that is the most important part of a wedding and a marriage—friendship, love and loyalty…not cakes, flowers and crystal.
