We’re a little new at this thing called blogging (yeah I know we’re late), but what’s the best way to start then by bragging, lol, I mean blogging, about what a dream wedding day we had. So let me start by giving you a sneak peek into how we met. Dawan had heard a lot of wonderful things about me through mutual friends of ours and he just couldn’t deny himself the opportunity of meeting someone as special as me. When I first met him we had just happened to bump into each other in the city and he had just got off of work (construction) so as you could imagine he was extremely dusty looking, lol. Now I will admit that I wasn’t exactly my most fabulous self that evening but it was cold and I was headed to the train. Dawan being the gentleman that he can be (when he wants something) decided to drive my friend and me to our destination. Of course I was relieved that he kept it platonic cause like I said, dusty!!! lol Any who, once we reached our destination he got out to say goodbye, I shook his hand and he pushed my hand away to grab me and hugged me so tight and never let me go ever since. After almost seven years together, Dawan decided to pop the question on New Year’s Day ’08 which allowed noooo time to plan a decent summer ’08 wedding. Now considering the fact that all little girls fantasize about their dream wedding, my dream was to have a truly majestic theme. I think that I started really losing my wedding planning motivation when I realized that it wasn’t “in the budget” to have the spectacular wedding/reception venue that I’ve always imagined, so I was forced to settle, which is every bride’s worst nightmare because we want what we want!!! David Tutera’s help was needed and it was absolute welcomed and appreciated because he truly creates magic and he was my absolute WIZARD. Along with the help, love and support of our family and close friends, David also stepped in and pleasantly surprised everyone by granting my husband and I the most wonderful and memorable wedding day ever!
