In a nutshell, insanity!!!!!
Jennifer meets with Robin at Gateaux Inc. about creating a very special surprise wedding cake. Her brother, Anthony, has been in the Army for the past several years and got married in a rushed wedding to his bride, Sam, in 2009. The couple is now having a proper wedding for family and friends on New Year’s Eve and has ordered their own wedding cake from Robin. For this extra surprise cake, Robin designs a clock that will feature a working, ticking clock to ring in the New Year – and the couple’s new life together. Bride and groom are starting off the New Year with a new home, new job and even a baby on the way. But things are off to a rough start for Robin and her team when they can’t get the clock to work.
Holly and Dave meet with Marianne at the White Flower Cake Shoppe about designing their dream wedding cake. Since Holly is very much into all things glamorous, she wants a cake that will reflect the "winter glam" theme of their wedding. After sending Dave away (to prevent him from seeing her dress before the wedding) Holly shows Marianne a picture of the enormous sparkly bow on her dress' waistline. Marianne suggests that they match it with similar sparkly bows all over the cake. Marianne and Lauren have no idea how they'll make the bows glitzy enough, as they've never attempted something like this before.
Carina and her mother come into Christopher Garren’s to order a groom’s cake. Carina’s husband to-be is a collector of unique and one-of-a-kind basketball shoes. So Chris’ unique cake design includes a hand sculpted high-top that is personalized for the groom and a sexy pump for the bride, and two perfectly executed shoeboxes for the shoes to sit on.
