How long have you been dreaming of your wedding day? What was/is your Dream Wedding?
OMG!! I have been dreaming of planning my wedding for as long as I can remember. My dream wedding is obviously all fancy, lots of bedazzle, bright and non-traditional! It has to be very elegant. It’s gonna be just awesome and I can’t wait!
Approx. Wedding Budget: $30,000, but I think we are over that already.
Who’s paying for your wedding? Rob
What happens if you go over budget? Um, we fight about it and I get my way, as always.
Did you hire a wedding planner? How are they doing? No wedding planner. That’s Rob’s job and he’s good at doing anything I demand.
How helpful has the groom been (or not) in the planning process? Rob has been great at doing anything and everything I ask for. My job is to stress and his job is to do the work. Yes, he drives me crazy because he has an opinion about everything... and I mean everything! He wants to have a say about all the things that I want. Granted, Iet him say what he wants and state his opinion, but [in the end] it's defnitely my way or no way.
Tell us about your family. How have they been involved in the planning process?
Mom: My mother does a great job at getting on my last nerve almost every day. She wants to invite her own friends to the party and does not want to pay for them to be there. She thinks she can invite whoever she wants. She is so opinionated and wants things to be her way.
Dad: My dad tries to keep the peace between me and my mother and tries to explain things rationally but he also gets demanding at times and thinks he can do what he wants at the wedding. I’m demanding that he loses weight by the wedding since he is walking me down the aisle.
Brothers: I have two and they’re both in the wedding. The older one is a little more competitive than the little one, Fady. I had to fight with him to get his tux fitted.
Have you or your groom been married before? Any children? If so, what role will the kids play on the wedding day? No
What’s the worst thing that could go wrong on your wedding day? My worst nightmare would be people that aren’t invited showing up to the wedding.
Define the type of bride you will be & please give us examples: I am a total control freak. I have to know everything and nothing can be done before I approve of it first. Rob tries to do things behind my back and finish things that need to get done for the wedding and I have to demand that he changes them and do everything my way.
What disagreements have come up about the wedding? We argued about where we want the wedding, I wanted to have the wedding in Pennsylvania and he wanted it in Jersey. His family is bigger than mine and he’s paying for it so he won that battle. We argue about money, flowers, guests and food. He even had a say in the color of the bridesmaid dresses. He says he picked it out, but I chose the dress and the original color. He just thought a different shade of purple was nicer and we agreed. He wants to invite more people than me. He wants to invite his friend as the DJ, and I don’t want that. I’m gonna do some damage to him if his friend plays stupid music, like the YMCA dance. But Rob says he wants to personally pick every single song so we should be good.
