Ex Libris

Phoebe is working at the library when she recognizes, Charlene, a girl from one of her classes last quarter. Charlene is working on a thesis about demons in this world. When Charlene moves off to find a book, a disembodied face, Libris, appears in the bookcase. He pulls Charlene into the bookcase.
Meanwhile, Prue refuses to sign a birthday card for her father. Piper later discovers Dan and Leo fighting, but neither will tell her what the fight is about. Prue encounters a man and learns that his daughter was murdered. He suspects the pawn shop owner of committing the crime.
When Phoebe returns to the library, she learns from Morris that Charlene has been decapitated. However, Phoebe encounters Charlene in the library, but she is the only one who can see her. Phoebe tries to convince Charlene she’s become a ghost, but Charlene refuses to listen to her. Phoebe has a vision of Libris decapitating Charlene.
Dan tells Piper that Leo was once married and Piper debates talking to Leo’s ex-wife. Meanwhile, Prue confronts the pawn store owner. He demands she leave his store because he is untouchable. Prue considers using a truth spell on the man.
The witches and Charlene go back to the library to retrace Charlene’s last steps. Phoebe is attacked by Libris, and is about to be decapitated when Prue defeats him-- which should free Charlene’s ghost, but doesn’t.
The witches realize that Charlene must help someone else get justice. Charlene haunts the pawn shop owner until he confesses to the murder of the man’s little girl. Once the pawn shop owner is arrested, Charlene’s spirit disappears.
