Bane Jessup (from #030) escapes from jail after being attacked by two guards. Bane breaks into the house and chloroforms Prue, who is now considering a career as a photographer. Morris arrives at the house to tell Piper and Phoebe about Bane’s escape. Phoebe gets a flash of Bane hold Prue hostage. Prue is able to send her sisters a message telling them she is safe, but not to come after her, as it’s a trap. Meanwhile, Litvack is angry that Bane has escaped and orders his disciples to find Bane and the weapon he used to escape his attackers.
Bane tries to convince Prue that he doesn’t want to hurt her, but he needs all three witches to help him defeat Litvack. When he realizes Prue doesn’t trust him, he lets her go. Before Prue can escape, Litvack’s disciples burst in. Bane risks his life to save Prue and wonders if she can trust him now. Prue says she does, and helps clean his wound. Bane kisses her.
Meanwhile, Phoebe and Piper realize a clue to where Prue may be, while the disciples report back to Litvack. Litvack realizes Bane is with a witch and can please his ƒsource≈ by delivering said witch. Piper and Phoebe find Prue in a compromising position with Bane, and think she’s lost her mind. Prue explains that Bane is innocent; Litvack was trying to kill him and they must help Bane defeat him. Back at the house, Litvack appears to Bane and makes him a deal-the witches and the weapon in return for his freedom, wealth, and life. Bane agrees.
Bane takes the witches to the crypt, seemingly ready to hand them over to Litvack. Piper freezes the crypt, but Litvack is immune and rats out Bane’s betrayal. Bane then puts the weapon into a disciple’s hand and fires it at Litvack. Litvack fires back as Piper unfreezes the scene, and both the disciple and Litvack are destroyed.
