After Cupid pairs up a couple named Cindy and Max, he is attacked in alley by Drazi, a demon in human form. Drazi sets a spell on Cupid turning all his love to hate, which will eventually kill him. Drazi steals Cupid’s ring and runs off. When Cupid approaches Phoebe for help, he is chased away by Dan and Jack.
Cupid appears in Phoebe’s living room, and after confirming his identity and story, Phoebe rounds up her sisters. Meanwhile, Drazi tracks down Max and Cindy. Max and Cindy begin arguing which results in Max being run over by a car. Cupid feels the pain of their love dying.
The witches and Cupid track down Drazi. The witches work their magic, melting Drazi into the pavement. After they leave, Drazi resurrects himself. However, Cupid is still without his ring. Cupid confides he angered Drazi after Drazi fell in love with a mortal and Cupid redirected her love towards someone else. That night at the club, while Piper and Prue gush over Dan and Jack, Drazi enters and zeros in on their men.
Phoebe and Cupid work on the spell that will send him back. They go off to get Piper and Prue to complete the spell, but find them arguing with Dan and Jack. Phoebe realizes Drazi survived, and tries to explain to them they are under his spell. Cupid suggests reuniting the couples Drazi has come between as a way of finally beating him. Phoebe convinces Cindy to visit Max in the hospital. When they reunite, Drazi is pained.
