Three elderly witches, Gail, Helen, and Amanda, make a pact with the demon Cryto: in return for their youth, they will grant him powers. Afterwards, Helen worries about not being able to follow through, while Gail goes to visit her nieces--Prue, Piper, and Phoebe.
Gail arrives at the house and tells the witches about bodies being dug up and skinned. Gail reveals she’s a witch, but doesn’t have the power the Charmed Ones do. Gail wants to look at the Book of Shadows to read up on Cryto, the demon of Vanity. The witches are suspicious, but allow Gail to read the book. Gail pockets the page about Cyrto. Later, Gail, Helen, and Amanda summon Cyrto, telling him they will soon give him his powers.
Helen and Amanda whip up a potion for the witches to drink, which will transfer their powers to Cyrto. The witches drink the tea. Afterwards, Cyrto grants Gail her youth and destroys Helen and Amanda. When the witches return to Gail’s, they suspect the three elder witches of summoning Cyrto, and realize their powers no longer work.
The witches realize Gail is the one behind the loss of their powers, and race to find her. When Gail betrays Cyrto to help her nieces, he destroys her. When Cyrto gets the upper hand, Piper decides she no longer wants to be a witch and runs off.
Prue and Phoebe convince Piper to help them get their powers back. They ambush Cyrto, knock him out, and then pour the remainder of the tea down his throat and chant. The witches’ powers are restored and Cyrto disappears.
Later, Piper calls things off with Dan to give her relationship with Leo another chance.
