Murphy’s Luck (Aka 8th Day)
In order to get a photography job, Prue is assigned to photograph a woman named Maggie Murphy, who has fallen on hard times. Prue arrives in time to stop Maggie from jumping off a roof, but inadvertently reveals herself to a Darklighter. Morris calls from the police station and Prue and Phoebe head down to see Maggie. However, the Darklighter is already there and causes Maggie to act out. When the witches arrive, Prue puts a happy spell on Maggie. The Darklighter sees this, and puts a curse on Prue, causing her to grow clumsy.
At the club, Piper tells Leo she wants to be with him, but has to wait to talk to Dan when he comes back from New York. Meanwhile, Prue and Phoebe visit Maggie at the hospital. Maggie tells Phoebe she felt like she was cursed when she was depressed. Prue gets her photographs of Maggie. When Prue later shows the photographs to her editor, they are completely out of focus.
Piper and Leo research the Book of Shadows on Darklighters, and find a passage about Darklighters who drive future Whitelighters to suicide. Meanwhile, Prue begins to feel heavy self-doubt after she is fired. Phoebe has a premonition of Prue standing on a bridge.
Piper and Phoebe visit Maggie, hoping to find Prue. Maggie points to a spot on a map. The Darklighter continues to plague Prue with self-doubt. When Prue finds herself at the bridge that Phoebe imagined, he encourages her to jump.
Leo grows frustrated with his inability to help the witches and begs the Gods to return his powers. They do, and he arrives at the bridge in time to help Phoebe and Piper save Prue. Later, Leo hopes the return of his power won’t end his relationship with Piper. She assures him it won’t.
