Witch Trial

Phoebe tells her sisters that their first anniversary as witches falls on one of the most powerful Wiccan days of the year-- the Autumnal Equinox. Phoebe sees the pages from the Book of Shadows flipping themselves. The flipping stops on a particular page, which says, “Rite of Passage---fight it with the power of one.” At this time a gust of wind explodes on them, as a monstrous demon, Abraxas, appears and snatches the Book of Shadows. Abraxas begins to read passages from the book backwards, summoning the thorned warlock, Jeremy.
Piper and Phoebe learn more about the Equniox from another witch. They must connect in order to converge their powers. Phoebe hears a voice say “the power of three” and says the voice sounds like Grams. Meanwhile, the witches meet their new neighbors, Dan and Jenny.
Piper meets up with Rob, who informs her she’s been approved for a loan to open up her own club. Jeremy appears and attacks Rob. The sisters are able to connect and vanquish Jeremy. Rob later denies Piper’s loan.
That night, the witches attempt to gain entrance to the Astral Plane and retrieve their book from Abraxas. However, when they confront Abraxas, Prue hesitates and the girls and knocked from the plane. Afterwards, they hear the voice tell them “the power of three,” and Piper concludes they need to work as one, from where they are most powerful.
The witches gather at a stone altar in the woods and begin chanting the same incantation that Abraxas is reading. Abraxas appears in the center of the witches’ circle and then implodes. When the witches return the book, a translucent figure appears: Grams. Grams explains that she is the one who flips the pages of the book and has been looking out for them all along. Phoebe and Prue give Piper a check so that can she buy her club.
