Look Who’s Barking

A widower sits in his apartment looking over photos of him and his deceased wife when a silhouetted beast jumps through his window and lets out an ear-piercing screech, known as the ‘death scream’. When Phoebe reads about the widower’s murder in the newspaper, she feels that it may be Cole that’s the culprit because she received a premonition when she touched a section of Belthazor’s book.
Phoebe tries to summon Cole, but he uses his Belthazor powers to keep it from happening. Belthazor later talks with an Alchemist Demon who transmutes his blood to make him pure evil again. The Alchemist informs him that his human side (Cole) will always be vulnerable to the Charmed Ones.
Phoebe maintains that Cole is responsible for the widower’s death because her hand was touching the book. Prue suggests looking on back of the book to see what her other hand was touching. When Phoebe checks, she notices the drawing of a Banshee. Leo orbs in and informs that a Banshee feeds on souls in great pain by using a high pitched screech beyond the hearing of humans. So the sisters chant a spell that turns Prue into a Siberian Husky to track the Banshee’s call.
A Banshee is about to attack a young run-a-way girl, begging to go back home when Prue Dog and the other sisters intercept. The girl gets away safely while Prue Dog runs after the Banshee. Crossing the street, Prue Dog is hit by a car and JAKE gets out and takes Prue Dog home to nurse it back to full strength. Later, Piper checks animal shelters for Prue Dog while trying to convince Phoebe that she’s living in denial about her feelings for Cole. Leo orbs in and tells them that the Banshee’s scream do not kill its victims but rather turns them into Banshees.
