The Sandman visits the manor in the evening and begs Phoebe for help after sprinkling
sand on everyone to show them various visions. As Paige prepares for Piper’s baby
shower, Phoebe checks the Book of Shadows for a Tracer Demon because she
continues to have premonitions about the Sandman. Leo feels that she’s having
nightmares, but checks with the Elders.
At work, Phoebe realizes that all the stories in circulation deal with anger. It isn’t long
before the entire city starts to get angry for very little reason. Leo finds out that the
Sandman’s sprinkles are causing people to dream about subconscious problems they
are avoiding in real life. Paige and Phoebe check a location from one of Phoebe’s
nightmares to find a Tracer Demon trying to kill the Sandman. Sand accidentally spills
onto Phoebe and a chainsaw murderer appears to kill her, but Paige orbs them all out in
time.
Phoebe and Leo try to find a vanquishing potion for her chainsaw killer but can’t. The
Sandman suggests that she try to figure out who is behind the mask, which should
make it easy for her to vanquish him. The Tracer Demon appears in the kitchen and
throws dream dust on everyone, making their suppressed issues come to light. Piper is
now a soap opera woman, being romanced by a man, Paige is being harassed by a
clown toy, Leo is now pregnant, and Phoebe is being chased by her killer. She fights
and kills the killer, but killing him kills her as well. The Tracer Demon then vanquishes
the Sandman and takes his dust back to Axel, his boss. Axel plans on using the dust to
impress the leaders of the underworld.
Leo heals Phoebe, but healing her also heals the killer. The killer chases Phoebe into
the kitchen where Paige and Piper trap him inside a wall with the clown and Piper’s
lover. The sisters decide to make a sleeping spell to deal with their issues, which
means luring the Tracer Demon back to them. The sisters fall asleep under their spell
and Leo sprinkles dream dust on them. Paige realizes that the clown telling her to look
at the baby because the baby in her dreams was actually herself. Since her own birth
was a secret, she never really celebrated her own birthday and was trying to live
through Piper’s baby. Piper’s dream man turned into Leo and she realized that she was
lacking romanticism in her life with him. Phoebe fights her killer, but he multiplies by
three, forming two more. In reality, the clown and dream man vanish, but Phoebe’s
three killers try to kill her. She unmasks one to see herself. The killers vanish as
Phoebe realizes that she was running from herself. Leo feels the baby kick, then
becomes normal, as he only wanted to feel closer to it. Meanwhile, the Tracer Demon
kills Axel in hopes of killing the Charmed Ones to further impress the underworld
leaders…He fails and Piper easily kills him.
