Siren’s Song
Phoebe still debates her feelings for Cole as she has both dreams and nightmares
about him. The next day Cole is on the phone trying to convince her not to divorce him,
but she still thinks he’s evil. In the middle of the conversation, Cole sees a news flash
on television stating that there’s a woman trapped inside a burning house that the
firemen can’t get to. Cole leaves the conversation with Phoebe and appears at the site,
saving the woman. Phoebe looks at the television to see him being praised.
Piper’s pregnancy is causing her to be emotional and Leo is preoccupied with saving
Whitelighters. Leo finds out that MELISSA, the woman Cole saved, was being
considered for wings as a Whitelighter and orbs out to tend to her. SIREN seduces
married men into going home with them in order to kill them and gets upset when she
finds out that Cole saved Melissa. In the attic, Paige interrogates a Darklighter, trying to
find out who is trying to kill Whitelighters. The Darklighter breaks free and almost kills
Piper because the baby is controlling her powers for the moment. Paige eventually kills
the Darklighter. At the hospital, Leo waits for Melissa to wake up when Siren comes in
and is about to kill her. Leo tries to stop her, but becomes seduced by Siren’s spell.
Piper senses Leo’s weakness, then orbs in with Paige to stop Siren. Once again, her
powers aren’t working and Siren gets away, almost killing Piper in the process.
Piper and Leo argue that their respective day is worse than the other’s, so the baby
swaps their powers. Melissa runs away, so Piper has to go find her in place of Leo.
They both quickly see how difficult the other’s life can be.
Elise, Phoebe’s boss, orders her to interview Cole for the newspaper. Phoebe begs her
not to do it, but Phoebe makes her decision. Cole walks away from the interview after
Phoebe’s refusal to believe that he saved Melissa on his good merits. Cole tries to
vanquish Siren without the help of the sisters, but winds up getting seduced. Phoebe
finds them just as Siren kills Cole, but Phoebe uses a potion to vanquish Siren. Cole
rises from the dead and kisses Siren, teaming with her. Just as they are about to kill
Phoebe, Leo and Piper orb and save her, killing Siren in the process. Cole realizes that
he had a flash of evil, apologizes, then orbs out.
Piper and Leo both get their original powers back after admitting that the other’s life is
rather hard while Phoebe makes Cole realize that he’s not completely void of evil.
