The Day The Magic Died
As the Charmed Ones prepare for their dad’s arrival, Piper faints after a goose lays a
golden egg. Everyone takes her to the hospital and the doctor diagnoses her with
toximia, a restriction of blood flow to the baby. No stress, no salt, and plenty of rest
should reverse the process. Stanley, an evil apprentice wants to impress his master by
killing the Charmed Ones.
Back at the manor, more mysterious gifts continue to surface for the baby, but when a
unicorn appears, Phoebe tries to send it back. It’s then that everyone realizes that none
of their powers work. They decide to solve the problem without Piper’s knowing so they
won’t upset her. Piper comes to realize that she wants to deliver the baby in a hospital
to prevent further stress on her body and mind. The Elders have to telephone Leo since
his powers aren’t working. Phoebe finds out that the Book of Shadows have been
erased. Stanley shows up to kill sisters, but his powers don’t work either and Paige
easily kills him. Victor, their dad, shows up with Doris, his new wife. They hide the
animals and dead Stanley so he won’t get worried about them constantly fighting
demons.
Cronyn, Stanley’s boss, shows up to the house, also with no powers and tells Paige and
Phoebe that no one has powers because of a natural phenomenon. Cronyn wants the
Charmed Ones to attend a summit to help restore the power for everyone otherwise
magic will vanish altogether. They are reluctant but agree to attend when he assures
them no one will try to kill one another. Paige makes some homemade weapons
anyway. Meanwhile, Piper hosts Doris and Victor, which she is not happy about. But
Piper figures out that something is wrong, so Leo tells her. Just then, Piper starts to go
into labor. At the summit, Cronyn tries to kill them anyway. He steps away as his crew
battle with them and the sisters find out that Cronyn only wants to kill the baby, not
them. Meanwhile at the house, Doris stabs Victor then moves to kill the baby with
Cronyn.
After figuring out that the unicorn came from the Elders, Paige and Phoebe come home
and use the unicorn’s horn to extract magic. They make a vanquishing spell to kill
Cronyn while Doris battles with Piper. Victor comes to consciousness and pushes
Cronyn aside just in time for Piper to throw the spell on him. He vanquishes along with
Doris and Stanley in the closet. Leo uses more of the magic to heal Victor completely.
