In the attic Paige presses Piper on the issue of having a baby. Piper reminds her they are up in the attic to look for information on the current troublesome demon that is out killing witches. Paige finds a demon in The Book of Shadows that matches the description of the current troublemaker -- it is Belthazar. Leo explains to Paige that Belthazar is Cole’s demon form. Phoebe calls from the location where they think a demon is located to report no one around. Paige suspects the killer is Cole. Suddenly a demon appears and grabs onto Phoebe. Cole saves her and once safe, asks Phoebe to marry him.
Back at the house they announce that the demon they killed is not the witch-killing demon they have been searching after. Cole presses Phoebe to talk about the marriage proposal but she avoids the subject. Piper wonders what is going on.
In an alley a big black demon, like Belthazar, kills a young witch, morphs into his human form and calls the police to report the murder.
In the attic Piper grills Phoebe and she finally tells about the proposal. Piper is shocked and reminds Phoebe that a witch cannot marry a demon. Phoebe is more concerned about herself right now and the fact that she never envisioned getting married at all. Cole appears and Piper takes her leave. He and Phoebe begin to talk and he knows it is crazy that he wants to get married but uses their being in love for his defense. They suddenly hear a baby crying and head downstairs. Paige has brought home a mechanical baby from her work to help Piper and Leo practice being parents. Leo appears and tells the group about the latest witches death and they go to the scene of the crime.
Darren allows them to look around and shows them the dead girls’ necklace. Paige recognizes it as the 3 crescent symbol of a coven. Assistant D.A. Sykes turns out to be the demon’s human form; he is questioning Susan, the dead girl’s best friend. Susan is also wearing a necklace of the coven so Phoebe introduces herself and gets a premonition of Susan being killed by the demon when she touches the necklace.
The sisters take Susan to the park Phoebe saw in her premonition. Phoebe will act as a decoy using Susan’s clothing and necklace while Leo protects Susan somewhere. The demon appears and a fight ensues. As the sisters are about to vanquish the demon a stranger named Emma appears and hurls a knife at the demon making him flee. Emma explains that the demon killed her boyfriend, also a witch, and left the knife behind; she has been hunting him ever since for revenge. Cole identifies the knife as one used by The Brotherhood of The Source.
