Enter the Demon

Cole has agreed to help train Phoebe to be the best martial artist she can be; they spar very intensely in the basement. Cole had been away for a week and found out that The Source needs the Charmed Ones to die in order to survive; therefore Phoebe must take her training seriously. Cole wants to teach her to fight like a demon and is tough on her because he cares so much about saving her. He introduces sword fighting to their workout.
An old Chinese man is praying at an altar and his warrior daughter, An Ling, swoops down to defend him just before being attacked. The attacking warrior, Yen Lo, is injured and threatens An Ling that their fight has only begun; he will kill her father and take over as Zen master because he has been a better student than she. He is wounded but vows to continue the challenge as he jumps head first into a bird bath/fountain and disappears.
Paige admits to Piper that she hasn’t been studying for the quizzes Piper is administering. Piper accuses her of having no priorities and imparts on her that nothing is as important as learning her craft. Paige likes the glamorous idea of being a witch, not the academics. Piper leaves her and heads to Chinatown to replenish herbs for potions. Phoebe and Cole continue sword fighting in the basement and Cole is relentless and pushes her to continue even when Phoebe hurts her ankle; Phoebe is getting tired of the unaffectionate treatment.
An Ling converses with her father about the danger of Yen Lo. The elder sends his daughter with a written message to Chinatown to retrieve the Dragon Sword, the only tool that can destroy Yen Lo.
Leo explains to Paige that nothing in life comes easy and that since Paige is also half White-lighter that she is therefore, half pacifist. He reminds her that Phoebe has been studying martial arts for years. Paige just wants to be more powerful like her sisters and wishes to ‘kick some ass’ like Phoebe. She says this out loud while mixing a potion and faints. Simultaneously Phoebe faints while sparring with Cole and Phoebe and Paige awaken having switched bodies. Phoebe/Paige runs upstairs to find Paige and Cole follows. He questions Phoebe’s dedication to her training and warns her that she may not have what it takes to defeat The Source if she won’t commit fully to his training. He orbs out of the house in frustration.
Piper is in the same Chinatown store where An Ling is trying to retrieve the Dragon Sword. The young man behind the counter says the sword is a family heirloom and he cannot release it in his father’s absence. An Ling pleads and shows the man the letter from her father. The young man however, does not read Chinese. In frustration An Ling flies behind the counter in style of the movie Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and steals the dagger.
