Hell Hath No Fury
Cole drives Phoebe and Piper to fight demons. Piper is on a manic quest to go after demons instead of letting the demons come and find them. Phoebe and Cole believe that 2 witches plus half a demon do not The Power of Three make.
Paige reads on up the history of witchcraft while at work. When a co-worker continually irritates her, and she can react with magic, she begins to realize her powers are stronger than she thinks.
In the attic Cole is accusing Piper of going too far with the demon hunting and warns that she is putting herself in danger, not to mention breaking the old system of fighting demons. Phoebe feels they are not ready to be so proactive so soon after Pru’s death. Paige shows up at the house unannounced and is curious about The Book of Shadows. Phoebe welcomes her to look through The Book and warns that it is not to leave the house. Paige is left alone and looks through the book; she starts copying spells onto pieces of paper and remarks at how much magic could solve a lot of her problems.
Cole and Phoebe summon Leo and tell him how out of control Piper is acting and that they are worried about how dismissive she is of Paige. Phoebe finds it interesting that she is now in the role of mediator sister.
Paige throws The Book out the window to ‘borrow’ it and quickly exits the house.
Leo tries to talk to Piper about her growing anger and warns that she is just running from confronting her true feelings about losing Pru. Piper is not responsive to Leo’s counseling.
Back at the social services office Paige is trying to make photocopies of The Book of Shadows; the pages keep turning out blank. Using spells she fixes a geeky co-worker’s acne, helps another win her car loan and gains an extension for her own student loan application deadline.
Cole, Phoebe and Piper track evil to a warehouse where they come across three she-demons who are immune to the Charmed Ones’ powers. A fight ensues and before Cole can vanquish the demons one breathes a sinister smoke into Piper’s mouth.
Back at the house Piper is coughing horribly and everyone remarks that she is losing control of her powers. Cole tells the girls that the she-demons are Furies and their mission is destroy evildoers, no matter what form of evil they cause. When a Fury focuses on you they make you physically recall the pain of any/all of your former victims. Piper discovers that The Book of Shadows is gone and Phoebe must admit that Paige probably ‘borrowed’ it. Piper is furious as they go to Paige’s office.
