Lost And Bound
Struggling to find an identity as a human, Cole accepts a job at Paige’s office as a legal aid. Phoebe is also struggling with an identity crisis; not wanting to end up like Samantha Stevens of ‘Bewitched’ fame. Cole proposes again and gives Phoebe her Gram’s engagement ring. Once on Phoebe’s finger is begins to glow.
Leo and Piper continue their disagreement about how to raise their children – to bind their powers early in life as Leo wants or to treat their magic as a gift and guide them, as Piper believes.
Cole becomes too emotionally involved at the Social Services office and is fired. Paige gravitates towards a young runaway named Tyler sitting in the waiting area; she quickly realizes he is a Fire starter. As she whisks him away to the manor for safety, Tyler’s ‘foster’ parents arrive to collect him – they are The Source’s bounty hunters. Once safe at the manor Tyler becomes a great test project for Leo and Piper. She begins to show him how to harness and control his powers. Phoebe’s behavior is odd and it is obvious she is transforming into the seemingly perfect 1950’s housewife.
The bounty hunters try to retrieve Tyler from the manor and are ultimately vanquished. Piper takes Tyler to the attic and they look through the Book of Shadows to learn about bounty hunters and Fire starters. The latter is a coveted being that is trained to be a bodyguard for The Source. Leo uses this as the perfect excuse to bind Tyler’s powers; then The Source and his hunters will not be able to track the boy. Piper and Leo decide to pose as bounty hunters and destroy Ludlow, who works for The Source, before they can capture Tyler. As they orb to find Ludlow and his academy, Tyler jumps on Leo’s back and tags along. Piper and Leo gain entrance to see Ludlow and Tyler proves that he is, indeed, a Fire starter. Ludlow immediately subdues Tyler and forcefully expels Piper and Leo from the grounds of the estate. Like a mother bent on saving her child, Piper defies the odds and blasts her way into the academy to save Tyler and, with the help of the Power of 3, vanquish Ludlow.

They realize Phoebe is under a spell and is now completely transformed into the television character Samantha from the 1950’s television show, ‘Bewitched.’ They link the transformation to the engagement ring and Paige removes it from her sister’s finger, releasing the spell.
All back at the manor Tyler agrees to have his powers bound until he is older. Piper and Leo come to an agreement that binding powers in order to have a normal childhood is the best thing. Phoebe and Cole decide to work extra hard to not lose their individual identities once they are married.
