Muse To My Ears
Phoebe tries to seduce Cole to celebrate his becoming a human. Cole is distracted and overly worried about The Source’s weak state of being and continues to warn Phoebe that demons must be joining forces and forming factions to overthrow The Source. The Charmed Ones are in imminent danger.
A congressional candidate is having difficulty with his campaign speech when his muse arrives, unseen, and inspires him. His speech comes together beautifully. All of a sudden a warlock arrives in the room and ‘steals’ the muse, summoning her into his ring and then he proceeds to kill the congressional candidate.
Piper questions Phoebe’s rejection of Cole’s marriage proposal. Phoebe does not want to discuss this problem and would rather help Piper plan the upcoming corporate party scheduled at P3. Phoebe shares Cole’s warning with Piper and asks her to come up with a protection potion for Cole, as he is powerless now. Piper is more concerned with coming up with a theme for her corporate client and will concoct something later. Paige comes downstairs and is throwing away all her painting supplies; with demon fighting she has no time for the hobby. The three head off to P3 together.
The warlock, with a henchman, kills another demon in an alley and steals his power to morph. He uses the power of the muses in his ring to lure/inspire other demons to follow him, therefore building a faction.
Cole comes to the club and shows the girls his new source of protection – a gun. The girls are aghast and extremely against it and ask Leo to orb it away when he arrives. Leo tells the group that muses are disappearing. The warlock’s henchman shows up at the club, watches the group, and morphs himself into Leo.
Back in the attic the girls search The Book of Shadows for protection potions and find information about muses. Phoebe senses her muse in the room and summons her. Melody becomes visible and explains that her friends are disappearing and that the Ring of Inspiration that channels inspiration is being used for evil. The fake Leo appears and the girls quickly realize the ruse and summon the real Leo. The fake Leo stabs Phoebe in the back before they can vanquish him; Leo arrives in time to heal her. Cole arrives and explains this is a warlock and therefore, a faction has begun. Melody inspires Piper to cook up her own protection potion, Phoebe to write a vanquishing spell and Paige to paint a perfect image of the warlock from her description. Emotions run high and Phoebe and Cole heatedly fight about his wanting to go underground to get information. Leo explains that passions do run higher when a muse is around.
