Todd’s work is steadily improving and, while Laura’s new businesses have yet to gain real momentum, she’s optimistic for both her house cleaning business and her family boot camp.  For the nine Bruce-Rumsey’s, things are finally looking up in Arizona. Even the kids get in on the action with a money making enterprise: Goo.

This Flubber-like substance is all the rage among pre-teens, who it turns out, are willing to lay out cold hard cash for the privilege of owning it.  Rex, Dylan and Danielle form a conglomerate that they hope will corner the "Goo" market.  The actual making of the Goo, however, turns out to be a substantial challenge.

Meanwhile, Todd receives an unexpected call from his cousin, alerting him to a job opportunity that could be the fast track to financial stability.   However, there is an aspect to the job that puts the very family that Todd is trying to shelter at jeopardy and he wonders, at what price financial health?
