A New Position For Roz
Frasier is disappointed that Roz is leaving KACL to take a program director position at another station, especially when he sees her training the dreadfully incompetent Noel as her replacement. At Roz’s going away dinner, Noel reads a pathetic poem, followed by Bulldog, who finds it fitting to recount Roz’s most embarrassing and intimate affairs. Roz is so bothered by Frasier and Julia’s blossoming relationship that she announces she’s staying, much to everyone’s surprise.
With a renewed outlook on her job, Roz stops by Café Nervosa to see if Frasier can work on promos with her. He tells her he has a date with Julia and she reacts with unexpected jealousy. Roz prods Mrs. Moon to pretend to be “the other woman” when Julia calls Frasier’s cell phone. Julia realizes that Roz was behind the phone call and concludes that she has feelings for Frasier, which Roz emphatically denies. An argument ensues and Roz threatens Julia to stay away from her.
Roz tries to get Martin to side with her and break up the happy couple, but she ends up having a run-in with Frasier when he arrives home with Julia. Roz pleads with Frasier to break up with her, but he tells her it’s none of her business. Vulnerable and overly emotional, Roz makes him choose between the two of them—he chooses Julia. Holding to her promise, Roz storms out of Frasier’s life for good and takes the position at the other station.
In the meantime, Daphne tells Niles that she doesn’t want to start a family until her mother moves out, so he breaks the news to Mrs. Moon that it’s time for her to move back to England. However, Niles can’t bear the sight of them saying goodbye, so he offers to help pay for an apartment so Mrs. Moon can live nearby.
