I’m Listening
Frasier overhears Ronee make a date with another man and informs Martin, who accuses him of eavesdropping. Meanwhile, Niles pulls a few strings to get Martin concert tickets to surprise Ronee. However, Ronee informs Martin that she has a date with another man, pointing out that they aren’t exclusive. To save face, Martin claims he’s also seeing someone else, named Sheila. Frasier gets trapped in the kitchen during their conversation and once again, Martin accuses him of chronic eavesdropping.
Martin runs into Ronee with her date at Café Nervosa and awkward introductions are made. When Roz walks through the door, Martin passionately kisses her and introduces her as Sheila. Although confused, Roz plays along. Martin goes overboard trying to make Ronee jealous by his over-affectionate behavior with Roz.
Later, Frasier encourages Martin to tell Ronee the truth—that he only wants to date her. Although reluctant, Martin swallows his pride and invites her over to talk. While Martin is in the kitchen, Roz shows up and continues her charade as Sheila, driving Ronee away in the process. Martin chases Ronee to her car, where they finally admit their mutual feelings. They decide to take a drive to rekindle their romance, unaware that Frasier somehow managed to get trapped in the backseat.
