Could a one-night stand “cure” Frasier’s crush on Charlotte? Frasier can’t stop thinking about his matchmaker, Charlotte. He’s drawn to her, even though he knows she’s dating another man. Meanwhile, Ronee tries to hide the fact that she spent the night with Martin when her strict, churchgoing mother Betty shows up for a visit, and Niles develops a craving for fast food after accompanying Daphne to a local hamburger chain.

Eager to get over Charlotte, Frasier intellectualizes his emotions, yet even Roz can see Frasier’s crazy about her. While Charlotte goes off on a camping trip with her boyfriend Frank, Roz takes Frasier on a trip to the local singles bar. Within minutes, Frasier meets a free-spirited woman named Kim, who invites herself home with him.

Kim and Frasier’s night of wild passion is thwarted by a series of pop-in visits by Niles, Daphne, Ronee, Betty, Martin, and finally, Charlotte, who fled the woods after a spat with Frank. After Kim bids Frasier goodnight, Charlotte stays to talk. Charlotte misinterprets Frasier’s attempts to share his romantic feelings for her as advice to reconcile with Frank. Once Charlotte leaves, Frasier admits to Martin that he knows he should let her go, but he decides to fight for her anyway.
