Following Roz’s jealous rage and resigning from KACL, she complains to Niles that she hates her new job. Despite giving Frasier an ultimatum between her and Julia, Roz denies that she’s in love with him. Niles facetiously suggests she return to KACL and pretend like nothing ever happened; she takes his advice literally.

Just as Frasier introduces his new producer on the air, Roz barges in and takes over her old job. Frasier is taken aback by her abrupt return and jumps to the conclusion that she’s been pining over him ever since their fling several years ago. He fears he has a strange empowerment over women and takes the blame for her emotional outburst.

Julia shows up at Frasier’s place hoping for a romantic evening, but he dodges her advances; afraid of hurting another woman. Roz shows up unexpectedly and tells Frasier she isn’t in love with him and their fling was long forgotten. Julia overhears their conversation and storms out.

Daphne’s excitement about conceiving dwindles when she discovers Niles donated sperm years ago and may already be a “father”. In an effort to right a wrong, Niles demands his “essence” back from the sperm bank. However, he’s informed that his sample was sub-standard and destroyed. Realizing that Daphne may never conceive, Niles tries several unusual methods to correct his infertility. When all his efforts fail, she breaks the news to Niles that she’s pregnant!
