The Babysitter
While out shopping for new office furniture, Frasier runs into his old babysitter, Ronee, whom he had a mad crush on as a kid. Still struck by her beauty and youthfulness, he invites her over for cocktails that evening.
When Ronee arrives, Martin assumes Frasier is setting him up with her and makes his move. Before long, father and son are competing over her affections. In the middle of her visit, Ronee gets called in at the lounge to sing and gives them an open-ended invitation to visit. That night, Frasier goes behind Martin’s back and sneaks down to the club, only to discover Martin already there. Frasier gloats when Ronee invites him onstage to sing a duet with her, but his hopes are dashed when she serenades Martin!
Frasier suffers a blow to his ego after losing Ronee to his father and becomes depressed. After Martin leaves for another date, Frasier discovers a bottle of Viagra in a Velveeta box. Moments later, Martin returns for his “cheese” and catches Niles and Frasier red-handed. At first, Martin blows up and accuses Frasier of trying to sabotage his relationship. Later, he admits he was attracted to Ronee while he was still married and feels ashamed. However, when Frasier points out it was a different babysitter, Martin’s guilt is erased and he’s off to his date.
