Daphne is devastated when her boyfriend Joe dumps her. When she tells everyone about her loss, Roz immediately jumps in to save the day and Daphne’s broken heart. She invites Daphne to go out to her favorite bar, where Roz always manages to meet men.

Meanwhile, Niles sees Daphne’s break-up as the perfect opportunity to confess his secret feelings for her. But Frasier advises Niles to first give Daphne some time to get over Joe.

Both Frasier and Niles are shocked when Daphne comes home from Roz’s “lucky bar” with a date for the next night. Kicking himself for not talking to Daphne first, Niles goes out to Roz’s bar, meets Adelle, and starts dating her. When Daphne introduces her new friend Rodney, everyone is struck by how similar he is to Niles. When Rodney and Adelle wind up together, Niles and Daphne find comfort in expressing their love for each other -- as friends, of course.
