To Kill A Talking Bird
Niles decides to move into a prestigious new building called the Montana. Although thrilled with his upward climb on the social ladder of success, there’s just one problem: the Montana doesn’t allow dogs or cats. After trying to pawn off his dog on Martin, Niles places the pooch up for adoption and buys himself a new pet: a talking bird he names Baby.
Meanwhile, fresh off another disastrous blind date, Frasier vows to take a “time-out” from the mating game. He concludes that when he is looking for love, he never finds it. Rather than desperately pursuing Ms. Right, Frasier decides to let fate lead him to the woman of his dreams.
Back at the Montana, Niles invites his snobby new neighbors over for a dinner party, and Frasier is instantly smitten with one of the residents, Stephanie. Eager to make a good first impression, Niles instead finds himself trapped in the kitchen when the nervous bird won’t release its claws from his head. When at last Niles emerges to resume his hosting duties, Baby repeats some rude comments Frasier and Niles made about all of the gue sts and dr ives them from Niles’s apartment in a huff.
