While her apartment is being painted, Roz and her baby bunk in at Frasier's place. To her surprise, the parents of her baby's father, Steve and Paula, call and leave a message that they're in town and would love to meet her. Although Roz feels uneasy about meeting them, Frasier offers to host a dinner for the couple.

When Steve and Paula arrive, Frasier, Roz, Martin, Daphne and Niles can't help but notice what big noses they have. Roz learns that Rick, her baby's father, was also born with a prominent proboscis, but luckily, it was altered by plastic surgery following a hockey accident.

Still, Roz worries about her newborn baby's nose. But when Daphne sees a picture of Roz as a child and asks who the girl with the little pointy ears is, Roz admits that it's her -- before she had her ears fixed. Roz then realizes that there's more to life than physical appearances, and that her job as a parent will be to support her child, no matter what.
