Good Samaritan
Frasier’s excited that his son Frederick will be spending his birthday in Seattle. Yet a series of events shakes Frasier’s faith in mankind: Frasier returns a lost wallet and the owner accuses Frasier of stealing money from it; Bulldog cons Frasier and Roz into taking his late shift at the station so he can attend a big fight in Las Vegas; and when he picks Frederick up at the airport, Frasier ruins his jacket helping a woman carry her dog crate to her car.
That evening, Frasier recounts his bad luck with good deeds to his listeners, but determined not to become cynical, he talks about helping an elderly man change his flat tire on the way to the station. When the man calls into Frasier’s show, Frasier’s delighted -- until the senior threatens to sue Frasier for scratching his car with his cufflinks.
Feeling defeated, Frasier decides to ignore a woman he sees standing in the rain on his drive home, but his conscience compels Frasier to give her a ride. To Frasier’s surprise, “she” turns out to be a “he” and Frasier is arrested for soliciting a prostitute. After being bailed out, Frasier agonizes over what to tell Frederick. Just then, we see that Frasier has simply imagined the negative scenario while waiting for the traffic light to change. He gives the woman in the rain a ride and discovers that she’s actually a pretty neighbor from his building who truly appreciates Frasier’s good deed.
