When a Man Loves Two Women
Over breakfast at the Crane condo, Martin and Daphne meet Frasier’s latest conquest, Cassandra, a voluptuous blonde who’s in charge of publicity at the station. Although Martin is dazzled by Cassandra’s beauty, Daphne is turned off by Cassandra’s flirtatiousness. Later, Frasier runs into his old flame Faye at Café Nervosa, and the next morning, Faye appears at the breakfast table.
Moments later, Cassandra drops by to see Frasier, but fortunately, he manages to get rid of her before Faye sees her. A harried Frasier admits he’s no good at juggling two women, so Niles flips a coin, which makes Frasier realize he prefers Cassandra. The choice made, Frasier plans to let Faye down gently on their next date.
Yet after having a great time with Faye, Frasier tells Niles that as much as he loves Cassandra’s passion, he and Faye share a deeper, more cerebral connection. Then, he bumps into Cassandra and decides he has to dump Faye. After expressing his desire to date Cassandra exclusively, Frasier has second thoughts and breaks it off with her. He races to Faye’s apartment, tells her he wants them to date exclusively, then begins to wonder if he’s made the right decision as Faye secretly wonders the same thing.
