Three Faces of Frasier
For 60 years, Seattle’s top celebrities have been immortalized on the walls of Stefano’s Restaurant. Stefano’s gallery of caricatures is about to get a new addition: renown ed radio shrink Dr. Frasier Crane. Although Niles had an unpleasant experience at Stefano’s when he was a little boy, he joins Martin, Daphne and Roz at the unveiling of Frasier’s portrait.
To Frasier’s horror, the artist has accentuated his pronounced forehead, leading to many jokes at his expense. Back at home, Daphne’s romantic feelings for Niles are causing her to have doubts about her impending marriage. Desperate to take her mind off things, Daphne launches herself on a citywide search for Frasier’s favorite breakfast cereal.
Frasier asks Stefano to redo his portrait, but the second rendering is even worse. Frasier has a new picture done and tries to sneak it onto Stefano’s wall. The plan falls apart, and Martin surmises that Frasier obsessed over something he could control (his portrait) because he’s actually upset about something he can’t control (a dip in his ratings). Just then, Daphne proves Martin’s point by returning from a cereal trek to Oregon—a mission masking her ambivalence about marrying Donny.
