Bully For Martin
After Martin gets chewed out by his boss, Frasier makes matters worse by sticking his nose into the situation.
Bored with Roz’s incessant chatter about her new boyfriend, Roger, Frasier can’t wait to leave the station and have dinner with his father. When Martin has to work late, Frasier offers to bring a pizza over to the building where Martin serves as a security guard. While there, Frasier is appalled to hear Martin’s boss, Rich, reprimand Martin about a minor security lapse. Martin assures Frasier that it’s not his concern, and sends his son home.
That night, Frasier is still upset about the incident, but Martin tells him to back off. Determined to defend his father, Frasier meets with Rich’s son, Charlie, who runs the security company. Charlie promises to speak with his father about bullying Martin. Unfortunately, Rich resents Charlie’s interference and responds by making Martin’s life even more miserable at work.
The next day, Niles and Daphne dread having coffee with Roz because they’re also tired of her Roger stories. Niles is aghast when Frasier admits he talked to Charlie about Martin. In an effort to repair the damage he’s caused, Frasier persuades Niles to confront Rich with him. When they see Martin approaching, the Crane brothers dive into a supply closet so he won’t see them there. Unbeknownst to them, Martin and Rich spot Frasier and Niles on a security camera. Comparing notes about their intrusive sons, Martin and Rich wind up bonding, and share a knowing laugh while they wait for Frasier and Niles to exit the closet.
