Frasier’s sandbagged by the hosts of a teen talk show.
To attract younger listeners, Frasier agrees to appear on KCAL’s “Teen Scene” radio show. Back at home, Martin returns from a company party with lipstick on his face. Daphne and Niles want to hear all about Peg, the fellow security guardwho kissed him, but Martin claims it’s nothing. Besides, he doesn’t want to get involved with anyone, and he’s sure Peg will start hounding him about starting a relationship.
At Café Nervosa, Frasier is introduced to Emily, one of the perky hosts of “Teen Scene.” Kirby, Frasier’s slacker intern, went to high school with Emily. He calls her a “nimrod” and advises Frasier not to do the show. Later, Roz speaks with Niles about the earrings he recently gave Daphne. Roz urges Niles to “do something crazy” to impress Daphne, and regales him with the story of a former boyfriend who stole a sign from Doyle’s Pub for her. Meanwhile, Martin is shocked – and disappointed – when Peg makes no effort to contact him.
Frasier’s appearance on “Teen Scene” is a disaster. Emily, Trent and Ryan rip his reputation to shreds by digging up old dirt from his past. Across town, Niles tries to steal the street sign from Daphne Lane, but he’s caught red-handed by the cops. Peg makes it clear to Martin that, contrary to his assumptions, she’s not interested in dating him. At the studio, Kirby feeds a grateful Frasier some embarrassing facts about the “Teen Scene” trio that nip their sensational attacks in the bud.
