While Niles tries to reconcile Daphne’s feuding parents, Frasier asks Roz to rate him as a lover.

Niles travels to Manchester, England, and convinces Daphne’s father, Harry, to fly to America with him. Although Harry isn’t interested in reuniting with his wife, Gertrude, he goes along for Daphne’s sake. Back in Seattle, Roz muses about what a great lover her ex-boyfriend, Roger, was, which leads Frasier to wonder how he measured up in bed. She jokingly evaluates his performance on a Café Nervosa comment card, but her lukewarm review leaves Frasier feeling inadequate.

Eager to reconcile Mr. and Mrs. Moon, Niles persuades Martin to feign interest in Gertrude to make Harry jealous. Later, Daphne and Gertrude return from Hawaii and are shocked to find Harry waiting for them. To Niles’ dismay, Gertrude orders Harry to leave, and Daphne chews out Niles for not consulting her before flying to England. At the café, Frasier presses Roz for tips on improving his sexual technique. Her critique only makes him feel worse, though she assures him he’s a great kisser.

After an elegant dinner with Daphne’s folks ends in a fist fight, Niles realizes a reconciliation is hopeless. Before leaving town, Harry tells Daphne that his marriage may be over, but he’s certain she’s found her soul mate in Niles, who’d do anything to make Daphne happy. Grateful to Niles for trying to reunite her parents, Daphne goes to Niles’ condo, declares her love for him, and announces, “I want to marry you now!” Abandoning their plans for a big wedding, they leave the apartment together.
